What would make you question a friendship?
Submitted by stueykins.
I don't have many friends, the ones I have are great and precious to me. Some people call that kind of friends as "good/best friends". Mine are the best. There are few people that I know or I have known, but I don't consider them as "friends" because we don't really care for each other and there's no emotional connection between us.
So as I said, those friends I have are great, and never in my life I question our friendships - because I've had the best, I should not complain a thing. I trust and I love my friends as my own brothers and sisters.

I even haven't thought of what clothes I'm going to wear later... I also won't get my hair done. I'm simple and low-maintained, because I'm not that feminine :D
I can't wait to meet my girls later! That what excites me :)
It's a happy day! Well, a happy moment, I should say! No, I haven't had my money back. I was waiting for "Mr. Red Wine" from morning until 05:00 pm and finally he said he couldn't make it, and he postponed it until tomorrow morning. I hope he will make it this time. I'm crossing my fingers and my toes!
So, it's a happy moment when I met Kiki! She's my best friend in high school and we sat together in the same class for 2 years! She still looks the same, still very cute, very smart (she has a Master degree and she plans to take her Ph.D in Holland soon), and she's still a sweetie! The only change is that now her body is twice bigger than mine LOL She has one daughter named Nina, 9 year-old. Her father was my lecturer when I was in the uni, so it's pretty confusing when we met outside because I called him "Bapak" ("Sir") in class, and "Oom" ("Uncle", Dutch) when we met out of class, as he's my friend's father (yes, Indonesians "unclize" and "auntize" their friends' parents). Kiki and I were the teachers' pets in school because we're smart and almost cute :D
She arrived at American Hamburger in Bintaro Plaza just few minutes before I got there, because I shopped for some toiletries first downstairs. I called her name very loudly, well, I screamed actually, when I saw her sitting there, looking at the menu :D And you know what, we both were wearing batik - just like most people we met at the mall! Indonesian pride!
Can you see my li'l Cest Moi on my lap?
We chatted about everything, catching up each other's stories during the absence. She keeps in touch with our friends more than I do, so she has so many stories and gossips to tell about them. Hehe. We had lunch together there, just plain fried chicken with rice (me) and French fries (her).
Then we had some window-shopping. Actually, it's me who did the window-shopping because Kiki bought a black dress, a wooden ethnic necklace at a factory outlet for herself, and a pair of shorts for Nina. I took some pictures of a nearby amusement center when she did her shopping. I've been to the mall very often as it's the closest to my place, but I'd never had a chance to take picture there.
And these are my favorite shots taken in "Fun World".
That's how a colorful dream should be, I think.
We spent time together for about 4 hours, then we left. She's going to attend a wedding tonight, and I though I'd go to the bank with Mr. Red Wine - and I was so disappointed that he didn't make it...
I'm looking forward to meet Kiki again and her parents next time. I talked to her mother on the phone when we were at the mall, and she sounded very happy :) The last time I met Kiki's parents was in 1994 in Singapore, and the last time I met Kiki was like 15 years ago! Time flies, but good friends are precious to keep :)
Hope your Friday is and/or will be good.
A simple friend thinks the friendship over when you have an argument. A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight.

These are my "real life" friends. Some are best friends, some are good friends, some are "real" friends", some are not really friends.

These couples share some similarities. The grooms are both foreigners. Mike is from New Zealand and Mark is from the U.K. Their names initial is "M". The brides are both Sundanese.
The difference? Mark's face looked "busier" and more "complicated" than Mike because of his unshaved beard, and Fera's head was heavier than Susan because of her "here-there-and-everywhere" accessories.
Anyway, they are beautiful people and they even looked more beautiful on the weddings. And I wish them forever love.
Amen!

I found Robin just yesterday morning when I was exploring Vox. She's looking for new friends as she's very new here. - Shannon H.
Shannon found me through a meme. She blogs somewhere else, but she updates her Vox every now and then. Maybe if she has more friends here, she will blog more in Voxland? - Sword Girl
An old blogging friend of mine! - [Susan]
... is at the prime of her life and in the happiest moments in her love life! She was my blogging buddy before we met in real life and now we are really great friends! She just moved to England to be with her husband. - Pooka
Once again, I want to thank Pooka for using one of my Vox banners on her blog. I feel very flattered and honored!

Tante Sally came again this morning for a while and gave Dad more birthday gifts. She's the sweetest! Esther called from Singapore in the afternoon, wishing Dad a happy birthday. She sounds very happy :)
Nothing much happened today, nothing much to vox about. Just having an ordinary day like usual, waiting for better things to come... Hoping, praying, believing...
Here's a shot of me and C'est Moi. We always sleep together, day and night :) Isn't he the sweetest? Sure! He's my boy!
I took him and Chantique for a walk after the nap. And I kept craving for KFC... So I called the nearest KFC and got 3 pieces of chicken, a cup of coleslaw and a box of spaghetti for Dad.
I feel like going out tonight, but no idea where to go and got no company to go out with me. I'm just bored, maybe - and I feel a bit sad as my dear friend is leaving to U.K. for good tomorrow and I've no idea when I can see her again...
I can only wish her all the happiness love and life can bring, the same wish I have for myself.
We all deserve to be happy and we all have to chase over our own happiness...
I try my best to always remember my friends' and some of my relatives' birthday. I got this trait from Mom. She has 7 siblings and she almost never forgot their birthdays, one by one. Being an only child, it's not easy for me to keep up with all of my relatives' birthday. But I try...
Yesterday was the birthday of my cousin's wife Conny and her father-in-law aka Mom's brother-in-law. I texted Conny in the morning, wishing her a happy birthday, but I didn't text my uncle because he's the last person on earth I'd be happily be in touch with. Conny texted me back, and thanked me. She also asked me when my birthday is - which is funny, or maybe too late to ask since she's been married to my cousin for years and never once she asked me about my birthday :) But I guess, late is better than never...
Today's the birthday of my friend Jeanne and I just sent her an e-card. She texted me few hours ago and asked me where I was. I answered, and she texted me again, but I didn't reply...
Lately, I'd been disappointed with a couple of friends. They used to be very close to me, but lately they really have no time for our friendship. One of them has been busy with her side job, the other one has been busy with her upcoming trip to the U.K.
I don't deny that there are times when I'm too busy with my own personal life so I don't have time for my friends. But it's only temporary, and I usually make up with them once my things are done. And it doesn't take me weeks, months, to be in touch with them again. Well, maybe I'm just being too sensitive and I don't have much understanding. But lemme give you a situation here: Once your financial situation gets bad and your love relationship becomes sour, where will you run to if you'd been ignoring your friends like forever?
Maybe it's just me. I just felt sad when a friend tried to "be polite" when she saw me on-line and said "hello", and after I responded to her meaningless hello, she ignored me. I just felt sad when a friend who'd leave this country for good, has no time at all to reply to my SMS.
Friends are human, and humans are fragile. Their dependability, especially. They say that they will always be there for you, but there are more times when you finally have to face it - that they are there not for you, but for themselves. We are all selfish in our own ways...
Anyway. Happy birthday, Jeanne.
I really love her. And another her.
was good, but too much for me
I can't finish it
My tummy feels funny now. Anyway, in a couple of hours I am going to Church with Ella. Remember that it's Easter Sunday? So...
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
